Interview with Cesya Cuono

Cesya MaRae Cuono hails from a small town in northeastern Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Alvernia University where she majored in Business Administration and also received her certificate of Multi-Media & Production makeup from Cosmix School of Makeup Artistry. You can find any updates from Cesya on her website at www.cesyacuonobooks.blogspot.com.

As apart of the Elemental Reality blog tour, I got the chance to ask Cesya Cuono questions about herself and her novel. So, here we go!

********************

Describe Elemental Reality in one sentence. The best thing I’ve ever imagined!

What gave you the inspiration for this book? What made you want to write about Faeries? Me being a nerd and wanting superpowers of my own. I thought Faeries would be an awesome supernatural creature when you mixed them with the power of the elements.

How did you come up with the characters? Do you see yourself in any of your characters? I just thought about what kind of characters I needed for my story and went from there. During my writing process is when the characters voices and personalities came about. Callie is the opposite of me. She’s the person I want to be.

What was the publishing process like for this book? Edits, edits, and more edits! It was convenient though because we have Dropbox so we didn’t have to keep sending files back and forth. Once it was printed, there was final read-through and then the rest of the books were printed.

Is there a certain song you think that fits the novel? I listen to a lot of music, especially when I write, but nothing seemed to catch my attention as being a potential song for Elemental Reality.

What would your be your ideal movie cast if Elemental Reality were to hit the big screen?
Tyler Blackburn as Oli. [OMG, agreed!]
Amber Heard as Callie.
Julia Voth as Ady.
Matt Lanter as Emery.
Skylar Samuaels as Lola. [Love her :D]
Jeremy Sumpter as Cayden. [this is what Peter Pan turned out to be? o_0]

Did you always want to be an author? I actually wanted to be a teacher when I was younger but through the years it changed so much. An author was never one of them because I never thought I had the imagination or creativity for it.

Do you have any tips for aspiring writers out there? Write any and all ideas down and date it. If you’re drawn to a particular idea you’ve written go back to it and start jotting down more ideas for it. Research it if it needs it. Don’t give up on it.

What can we expect from the sequel to Elemental RealityAn unexpected twist but I’m not saying anymore.
